We’re honored to introduce a new space where adult women can begin a new chapter in their recovery journey. Opening in Summer 2025, EDTC will provide residential treatment in a setting built for safety, connection, and true healing. This isn’t just a new facility—it’s a new approach to care in Louisiana and a place where every individual is met with compassion, respect, and evidence-based support.

Whether you are taking your first step toward recovery or returning to treatment with renewed intention, our doors will be open to walk alongside you. At EDTC, we see you, believe in you, and are here to help you write the next chapter of your story with hope.

Why We Exist: Meeting a Critical Need

Eating Disorder Treatment Centers (EDTC) was founded to fill a critical gap in care. As one of the only residential treatment facilities for eating disorders in Louisiana, we’re here to offer something that’s long been missing: truly comprehensive, high-quality care in a space that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.

We know that healing from an eating disorder is about more than managing symptoms; it’s about addressing the whole person. That’s why our approach goes deeper. By integrating medical oversight, clinical expertise, wellness practices, and relationship-based support, we create a treatment experience that fosters lasting change.

What to Expect at EDTC

Choosing to begin treatment is a brave step, and we want you to know exactly what kind of care and support you can expect when you arrive at Eating Disorder Treatment Centers.

As a residential treatment center for women, EDTC offers 24/7 support in a safe, structured environment designed for deep healing. Our program is rooted in evidence-based practices, personalized care, and a belief in full recovery. Here’s what your journey with us might include:

Individualized Treatment Plans

We recognize that every person’s experience with an eating disorder is unique. That’s why we take time to understand your story and develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs, goals, and life experiences.

One-on-One Therapy

You’ll meet regularly with a licensed therapist who specializes in eating disorder recovery, trauma, and co-occurring mental health concerns. This space is yours to explore, process, and heal.

A Team You Can Trust

At Eating Disorder Treatment Centers, relationships are important to the healing process. That’s why we’ve brought together a team of compassionate, highly trained professionals deeply committed to helping you feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported.

Our team includes:

  • Licensed therapists who specialize in eating disorder treatment
  • Registered dieticians who use a personalized approach to nutrition
  • Nurses and medical professionals who ensure safe and coordinated care
  • Support staff who help make daily life feel stable and empowered

Our team understands that entering treatment can be overwhelming. You’re placing your trust in the program and its leaders, and we take that responsibility seriously.

A Place to be Safe and Supported

Our residential eating disorder facility has been thoughtfully designed to be a refuge for those seeking recovery. A place where healing is nurtured, rest is encouraged, and each individual is treated with compassion and respect. Every element, from cozy living spaces, to calming therapy rooms, has been created with our patients’ safety and comfort in mind.

We understand that recovery from an eating disorder is deeply personal and that it takes more than treatment alone. It takes an environment where you feel seen, supported, and safe enough to do the hard work of healing. At EDTC, we’re building that space, one that empowers you to reconnect with your body, rebuild your relationship with food, and rediscover who you are outside of your eating disorder.
